We all know, or at least most of us know, the story of SeeU, and many of us still hope for her to come back with an update. Some of us have forgiven her voice provider, and others simply love the character of SeeU. Either way, her future doesn’t seem as uncertain as it once did.
There have been multiple instances of massive support for SeeU: the unofficial fan concert held for her 10th anniversary, the “SeeUbration” event by Vocarnival, the renewal of the last 400 voicebank codes, her nomination on Bugs!, where she reached first place several times alongside major names despite not ultimately winning, are just a few.
ST Media has remained active in keeping her alive through merchandise, events, and collaborations, such as the recent partnership with Starlike to produce new merch for both SeeU and UNI. She was also part of the 2024 hologram concert, appearing alongside her sister UNI for UNI’s first ever live performance. Popular songs from both SeeU and UNI were added to Project SEKAI, even if only in the Korean version of the game.
SeeU’s developer still clearly holds deep affection for her, as does her original illustrator. While there may not be a lot of concrete news to share, I can confidently say that the people behind SeeU genuinely want her to succeed.
