The unison feature works with all SVS2 voicebanks (up to 16-voice unison), but that's it.
Huh. I wonder why it doesn't work with SV1 voices? Maybe the tech was just too different? Anyways, thanks! I can't wait for this feature to come out of beta. Hopefully the choir banks will be well received when they come out. I'd imagine they would, because they seem like something that will be used by more professional music people, maybe for fancy background noises.

Maybe it does work with SVS1 voices? I don't know. I haven't tried.

Wait for it...

Wait for it...

I just tried with an SVS1 voice and it works okay.

And for your information, this feature is out of beta. Just update your software to 2.2.0 and it will magically appear in the voice settings (microphone icon).

(I find that the update system doesn't work the first time I start up SVS2. Instead I have to start up the editor, immediately close it, then start it up again in order to force the update notification to appear.)

It turns out the effects thingies are also available in the update, although I have no intention of using them. I'll do that stuff in Reaper.

For the benefit of those curious about the unison feature...

The full sample contains a solo lead voice, a middle voice (4-layer unison), and a low voice (4-layer unison):

Here is the middle voice (4-layer unison) in solo:

And here is the low voice (4-layer unison) in solo:
