    Question Question about Tempo/Meter/Time Signatures

If you've already written the lyrics, just kind of say them out loud to yourself, and tap along with a regular beat, a slow one to start with. Notice which words/syllables fall on the beat and which don't. It might help to write your lyrics down, and put a little mark on every syllable that...

Song is 2 minutes longer than it should be?

Instead of going in to edit the notes, stay at the track view. You'll see your Vocaloid, with an aqua coloured box beside it where all your notes are. Scroll sideways to see the length of the box. If it extends past your final note, that's the problem. It could also be a tempo problem. If the...

    Question Question about Tempo/Meter/Time Signatures

It may help for 6/8 to think of it more as two dotted crotchet beats, rather than six quaver beats, even though quavers matches how it's written. Sheet music will often write the tempo referencing a dotted crotchet (like how a standard crotchet is often used to denote the tempo for simple time)...

I've had a this issue with several vsqxs

You can save without having to export every time, you just have to do it in the DAW instead of piapro. If you've made no changes to the DAW project just mute/unmute something and it'll let you save, and preserve all piapro changes

Song is 2 minutes longer than it should be?

Is there some sort of start/end marker system when you export? Studio One defaults the song length to five minutes unless you change it, perhaps something similar is going on here

    Mixing advice please!

Chorus and delay effects are useful for getting this kind of sound. Most daws come with a stock plugin for each of these, but there's many free/cheap ones that can be used as well, for different sounds. You can also use things like vocoders to big, full, robot-like choir sounds, but they tend to...

Song is 2 minutes longer than it should be?

When you add the English lyrics, how are you doing it? Manually changing the Japanese notes, or importing an English vsqx? If you're importing, it could be the case that there's extra space/unecessary notes in the vsqx file itself, which would need to be edited out. Or if you're importing it...

Song is 2 minutes longer than it should be?

Is it just silence at the end? Just chop the unecessary bits off the wav/set the end marker for your export to the right place in your DAW. If you don't have a DAW audacity is free and can chop off silent bits from the end of the file

How can I make Rin English 4 sing a loud note lower?

It's a bit old now, and kind of unintuitive, but you can also try aviutl, which is free. I'm pretty sure it's also possible to download the classic version of movie maker onto windows 10 (the windows 10 version is... yeah)

    Piapro Studio Thread

Is everything being installed to its default location? If you've changed the location during install due to space/file organisation/etc, it may not be able to find them if they're installed in different places. For example, piapro and your daw are on C drive, but your voicebanks are on E drive

Question How do i go about making covers when i can't find a MIDI for the song i want?

If you have a copy of the song you're trying to cover, drop it into a daw, then load up a basic piano/other vst and copy the notes onto the piano roll, playing it along with the reference track to check. There'll be a lot of trial and error, especially early on, but when you finish you'll have a...

Question How to Make an Arrangement of a Song?

The most important thing for starting an arrangement is to work out what "key" elements will need to be maintained in order to preserve the character of the song. These are probably things like the main melody (both instrumental and vocal) and the chord progression. Beyond this, the changes you...

    Piapro Studio/Studio One help?

To change tempo in studio one, click the little clock in the top left (near where the automation/marker buttons are), and it will bring up an automation track for tempo/bpm. Depending on how much you want to change it you may need to adjust the min/max settings, but other than that you just draw...

    Piapro Studio Thread

If you just mute/unmute one of your instruments in S1, it'll let you use the regular save again, and save all your piapro work too. Useful if you've only made minor tweaks, but if you've changed a lot just using save as would probably be better
