Oh my God, yesterday it was 7 years old since this amazing concert where I could finally applause you in person 💖 And now today you brought another amazing song, go go go Alain !!! 💖 (Also lol at you my dear who posted a photograph I was going to do, seems great minds think alike x'D thanks to both of you my boys for having brought some light in my day~ )
Yamaha made a lot of good synths, even their digital vintage stuff is great, although it (arguably) not as good as Korg, l feel like their modern keyboards synth are not as good as other western brand like Oberhlem, Access, etc. Meanwhile their flagship Yamaha Montage are double the cost of most flagship synths out there. . .

Yamaha Motif xs, MODX is fantastic and all but they drop the ball or something, im not surprised if people turn away and buy a Roland synths instead.

I love using Korg keyboards as midi keyboard, they are excellent for that, and I think one very good thing about Yamaha keyboard/synths in general is their grand piano sound, and also the quality of each key, even on less expensive products ^-^

That's great! Korg weighted keybed are one of the most realistic one (close to 1:1 weight ratio in 80s era). Meanwhile a 800$ modern 2023 midi keyboards still can't get it right.

I can't argue with that, it simply fantastic. . . I always looking for Piano Sound Voice 1-14 factory preset when i use my motif xs8 rack.

I still love my yamaha keyboards/rack (although their keybed is a bit too sqishy) but i just feel a little disappointed that their flagship Montage M are not so different to much older synths like Motif. Yes, for a live performing montage are just better when compare to the Motif but is that it?

Yamaha Montage win about overall weight i guess (over 30kg with everything).
Got a reply from Yamaha about Aminonce Labs:
“Thank you for providing valuable information.
We will investigate them.
We regret to inform you that, as per our policy, we are unable to disclose
the results or progress of the investigation.

We appreciate your understanding.”
i feel like there must be a guide somewhere but i cant really find one. how do you buy digital banks from dreamtonics on taobao? i always get confused bc it seems like every time i see it asking for info related to physical shipping
My mom found my DS games in storage today! I wouldn't value them at more than maybe 20 dollars each, but legit pokemon games run for 60 to 100 dollars each on ebay. It's really scary that a few old games are worth more than a new game console. (Not going to sell them though. I was looking at what it would cost to get White, White 2, and SoulSilver to play. Too much money for me now.)
It's free for a limited time (website account needed)

Look like it modeled after vca dbx 165A
DJ'ing from a core 2 duo is going to be a trip.
I don't really want to link my accounts on that laptop, I'm not sure I want to use a USB, I might just want to grab my tracks from my server or something.

try to use VLC video player, it should be fine ^^
and for audio tracks, just use mp3, not flac or any other formats. a fresh install of windows 10 might be a good thing too (use the official media creation tool to make a bootable usb stick install), since it will auto install any missing drivers from windows update. I also recommend to use an external usb keyboard and mouse :haiyi_ani_lili:
(or if you want to use linux, then lubuntu or kubuntu might be good)

Software and resources management can help to some degree, but if it too old to keep up, i think it's a good idea to upgrade your machine.

It doesn't need to be up to date "top shelf" machine. Something like gen 2-4 cpu is perfectly fine. Your meal probably more expensive than theses CPUs couple with 16GB of ddr3 ram and maybe a standard ssd is enough to keep you going for a decade to come.

Fairly certain the problem is the graphics driver itself. That laptop is just too old. I can play [one] track just fine when dj, but I'm too unfamilier with mixxx over serato to say I'll be fine when trying to add in fx and loops into the other track. The turn tables doesn't seem to rewind while playing and I can't seem to cue it without the sound outputting it in main (maybe I've forgot how to preview the track or it might be a different method in the new software).
Combine that with the keyboard mapping being all over the place, I thnk I'll upgrade it to one of those tsukumo miku branded laptops when it's convenient. It was a pain having to copy the @ and = signs from online to register for accounts and setting up eviroment settings because they were misplaced on the keyboard. I could try going back and fixing the whole keyboard one by one but I don't want to waste my time and there's apparently errors in the settings about ficxit ibus or something after I intalled a IME (the ime works but I think that prevented me from configuring the keyboard).
Good news, I've set up the speaker system correctly and it all works.
so was anybody gonna tell me that a group called aminonce lab has been making unofficial v4 voicebanks since like 2 months ago or was i just supposed to find out by stumbling upon one of the voicebanks on archive.org myself

That's something i am worried about. If it possible, please contact yamaha directly.

This is wild, it definitely brings up some interesting ethical questions. At it's most benign it reminds me of mods people make for video games. There are a couple of things that could shift how dubious this is:

1. How many illegally obtained proprietary tools they're using
2. If they intend to sell the voicebanks
3. If they're trying to manipulate people into believing these are official

I think the community would be fairly lenient on this group if they were upfront about the fact they're not official products and didn't use them for profit. Currently their official social media a bit misleading, which I think could be dangerous.

I sent an inqury to Yamaha about this issue:

"I was made aware yesterday of a group of people releasing unofficial voicebanks for the Vocaloid4 engine. They call themselves Aminonce Labs. Aminonce Lab
They also somehow have a way to generate serial codes and a downloadable tool to activate said serial codes."
lily is such an underrated voicebank.. anyone know of any lily producers? or obscure songs?
Apparently they restocked the Miku Expo glowsticks again and they sold out again before I noticed. This would be hilarious if it weren't frustrating.
