Oh, wow, that's an interesting issue. You can try and see if maybe it will convert the yen into a \ or still interpret it the same despite the yen character, otherwise I'm not sure. Sorry if this does not help.

For lyrics, it will convert to "\"'s once you close out of the lyric-input menu. For phonemes, this is by design since there are phonemes that utilize the yen character.
