Betterloid isn't really made for it. the best if you want to use vsts in real time with vocaloid would be to use vocaloid 6 as a vst in a daw and put vocascreamer as an effect on the vocaloid 6 output

They likely did it because they sell their character extensions around 20 whole bucks each, so they felt like by letting people mod it they were losing on lots of money since people wouldn't buy the addons and would just download the models online

Not all XSY vbs have to be the same character, but it really depends on the company. For instance Internet co allows to XSY Una with Gakupo (though the result isn't guaranteed to be good)

Only very specific predefined voicebanks can be cross synthesized. Such as Miku V4X Original with Miku V4x Solid. Or with Miku V3 Original. Also, as you only own a V3 bank to begin with, Piapro Studio is locked in V3 mode which does *not* have cross synthesis. (cross synthesis is a v4 feature)...

I guess there might be note bending at least, but yeah from this table at least it seems to be the case.

The Yumenokessho website for the new synthv 2 vbs has a table of comparison between synthv pro 1 and 2 and it also lists the limitation of the bundled free v of synthesizer v 2 ! So the limited v of synthv 2 can only have one track, and it seems it can't even be tuned since it has no parameter...

That actually confirms that SynthV 2 will not have a fully free version like synthv did. As it's closer to the way VOCALOID 6 Lite works. It's a limited editor only bundled with voice purchases. So at the minimum you would need to buy a voice. I don't know if they'll keep releasing lite voices...

Big Up now allows to feature multiple vocal synths in one song ! Before we could only assign one vocal synth per song. Now it allows to assign up to 5 ! Which is great for songs using multiple vbs.

there are even some programs (such as Internet Co's ABILITY daw) that won't even run unless the windows display language itself is set to japanese, even if the locale is properly set to japanese

If you change the locale make sure to reinstall the entire software as it might have named files improperly if it got installed with another locale

it's also possible the songs were made on low end speakers where the producer just couldn't hear how much was taken out
