Also, the source code of Betterloid and Betterloid.BackgroundPlugin are available as well :
SeleDreams/Betterloid (github.com)
SeleDreams/Betterloid.BackgroundPlugin (github.com)
They however aren't as documented and clean because I didn't really clean them up yet
I have made a template project to help developers interested into developing VOCALOID5 plugins, I made it by making sure to write a clean and commented code as well as showing how to do the most used types of actions in order to make it easy to start getting into development, even for beginners...
I have been working on an example of a more productive plugin that I will open source, it will be useful for devs to base their code on it for their plugins, it will make it easier to learn how to make plugins this way
I ended up finding out a bug with my plugin where basically the JSON library I am using enters in conflict with the one used by VOCALOID5
So vocaloid 5 ends up crashing when started without Betterloid when installed, I'll fix this in the next update.
Have you ever wanted to run useful job plugins only to find out you couldn't run them since V5 ?
Have you ever wanted to see the cute face of miku staring at you while you're producing ?
Well you're in luck ! Because Betterloid 2.0 Alpha arrived !
Betterloid 2.0 is compatible with both VOCALOID5...
Actually, for American users this is the only issue but for European users like French users there is a secondary issue that forces the use of Japanese locale.
In France, in text form the floating points are represented with a comma instead of a dot, so 5.45 would be written 5,45 in French...
I am opening song commissions !
As references here are some songs I made :
Here are my prices and the vocaloid and synthv voicebanks I own (in case you want to commission a voiced song)
Progress update :
- Implemented silences so that gaps between notes will be taken in account as silences without the need of rest notes
- Implemented basics of the overlap variables so that note crossfades occur more smoothly based on the oto
- Went back to a single threaded system for the first...
for those who are interested I am searching people who would provide the voice of the default voicebanks bundled with lmms
https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=DQSIkWdsW0yxEjajBLZtrQAAAAAAAAAAAAZ__uU_eVVUNjMwNlVISEdIVTdNUTlKWjJKNzZTOTNDMS4u
So, big improvements, pitch bend is working, and notes can actually be played back in LMMS, it honestly is very fast to render so it renders in real time when drawing the notes
It also supports 3/4 time sigs (and probably others) which isn't normally supported by UTAU
Lyrics can now be edited, due to the way the notes are rendered i couldn't allow to edit the text directly "on" the note but it uses a popup that is just as fast as we can just press enter so it won't disturb the workflow
I started working on the UI, now the lyrics show up on the notes (not editable yet) and the pitch bend appears immediately (no automatic vibrato and portamento yet so everything must be hand made)
It now has the ability to generate an audio track that it actually plays back in LMMS, it still needs work though in order to make it actually convenient to use, moreover right now it doesn't allow to edit lyrics, it doesn't use the wavtool yet (so no crossfade between lyrics) and the sample...
Progress, it is now able to call the resampler to generate the voice samples, the lyrics and the tone of the note is at the moment hardcoded but will be easy to adjust
It's an open source replacement of UTAU on windows and UTAU-Synth on mac made in java, it can run whatever resampler we want as long as it has a native executable for the system we're using
GitHub - titinko/utsu: Vocal synthesis frontend
Since I just purchased electric guitar vsts from Native Instruments I wanted to put them to the test in a new song and it ended up sounding much better than I thought it would on Rin English
It's normal the drums don't exactly fit I didn't compose them yet so I used a standard loop included...
