It’d be cool if they could add a slider that let you have more or less of an accent with XLS. It seems some people like the accents while others don’t. (Haven’t tried out synth v 2 yet myself, but I’m not fond of really strong accents overall. Though some can be nice, it just depends on the voice.)
Internet Co has posted comparisons between the SV1 and SV2 compatible vbs for Gumi, Una, and Koto. It sounds like they are planning SV2 upgrades for them, but for now the SV1 vb users will get an SV2 compatible version of the SV1 vb for free.
There are Amazon JP pages for Kiyoteru, Miki, Moca, and a starter pack. I really like Miki's new design, but Kiyoteru's is a little boring. I guess that fits with his character though. lol
At least Crypton hasn't gotten rid of Luka V2 and Meiko V1 yet, so you can use their older vbs if you really want the non Miku like sound and are willing to use older software. The downsides are that you're stuck using older editors for them, they're only available as package versions, and still...
