The demos were definitely not ready for primetime. They certainly should not have shown anything at this time and waited as a vocoder demo doesn't really promise a whole lot to the average person. I still find it odd that there is no real tonal loss but massive amounts of additional noise...

I found a problem with the login system so I moved everything to a new one. If anyone had a problem making an account they now should be able to without any trouble! Admittedly, I took a lot longer to find this issue and do something about it than I should have...but it only affected...everyone.

Vocaloid has/had a lot of WIP technologies that get used privately as part of events, promotions, games, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they had something akin to XSY. I know the Vocalistener 2 demos from 2010 would mix the different appends together, so it's been a thing for a long time.
