We're excited to announce the release of Desktop Mate Ver. 1.6.0, an update packed with improvements and bug fixes — all based on your valuable feedback and requests!
Please update to the latest version and enjoy the enhanced experience!
Highlights of This Update
Improvements & Refinements
-Added support for 24-hour time format in the alarm display.
Bug Fixes
-Resolved an issue where launching Snipping Tool while the character was seated on the window caused unintended window movement.
-Fixed issues with Mahjong Soul linking.
-Improved behavior where linked motions failed to trigger in full-screen mode.
-Resolved an issue causing linked motions related to ranking results to malfunction on the opponent's record screen.
Windows 10 Support Policy (Update)
-Continued support for Windows 10 (for the foreseeable future).
We had previously planned to phase out Windows 10 support. In light of your requests and after careful reconsideration, we will continue supporting Windows 10 for now.

We sincerely appreciate the many comments and concerns you shared with us.
After carefully reviewing your feedback, we have decided to continue supporting Windows 10 for the time being.
We sincerely apologize for the insufficient research and consideration behind our previous announcement and for any worry or inconvenience it may have caused.
What This Means Going Forward
-We will continue testing and providing fixes/improvements for Windows 10 where feasible.
-Please note that certain new features or optimizations may be prioritized for Windows 11.
-If any critical issues or compatibility problems occur on Windows 10, we will promptly share workarounds and update plans.
-Our system requirements page will be updated to: “Recommended: Windows 11; Supported: Windows 10 (continued).”
How You Can Help
If you encounter issues on Windows 10, please report them with steps to reproduce, your environment details (OS build, GPU, etc.), and screenshots/video. Your reports directly help us improve the product.

As of September 2025, here are some of the updates we’re currently planning:
Multiple Characters on Screen at the Same Time
-You can bring multiple characters on screen—with special cross-character interactions available for featured pairings.
Custom VRM Support
-While the release timing is currently undecided, development has already begun and we are planning to implement this feature in the future.
Mac Support
-Development has already started.
-Since this is a major addition, it may take a bit of time, but we hope you're looking forward to it!

Fix for Character Flickering During Drag
The flickering issue while standing has been resolved. We will continue working on a fix for when the character is sitting as well.
Improved Display When Dragging Across Multiple Monitors
-Enhanced how the character appears when moving between screens in multi-monitor setups.
Improve sorting order usability when selecting characters.
Customizable Alarm Sounds
-Each character will have their own unique alarm sound.
-You'll be able to choose the alarm sound from a selection.
New Feature: Characters Move or Dance to Music
In addition to these, we’re also planning some major updates that we’ll announce at a later date.
