it sounds good!
I think you need some more mixing for the background track, especially at the beginning, because there is lot of volume difference between the music track (too low) and the voice. Also, the drums at the beginning I think need a bit more of strength, but this is just my personal feeling:teto_smile_lili:

Hm... Thanks! I'll try increasing the volume of the backing track. I'm sorry for asking this, but is there a way to increase the volume of just 1 part of a track? I've tried increasing the total volume of the track, and it makes the middle sound strange. Also I can't do much with the drums, I didn't make the instrumental. Thanks though!

Automation is what you need.

All DAWs support automation, but this is something that absolutely does vary from one DAW to the other, so you'll have to look for instructions specific to your DAW of choice.

Edit:

Flying faders are the hardware precursor to DAW automation. But they look way cooler! (At least I think so...)

Okay, I have a problem. I just noticed that if my vocal tracks are playing, then the volume of the backing track is reduced significantly. I think that might be the problem, but I'm not sure. Do any of y'all know of why this is happening and/or how to turn it off? It's really annoying, and I'm new to mixing.

Perhaps you're using some sort of master-bus compression? That is to say, a compressor that affects the entire mix? If so, when the vocals kick in, and if they are louder than the backing track, then the overall balance of the mix will be affected to some degree.

(I'm not sure what DAW you're using, but FL Studio defaults to having a limiter plug-in on the master bus, which is a type of aggressive compressor. If you're using FL Studio, remove the limiter and see what happens.)

If you're not using bus compression, then maybe you're simply experiencing a relative perception of volume change when the audio context changes...?
