Howdoodly!! I have recently acquired both Luka V4X and Luka V2. While v4 has its quirks, I am struggling the most with her V2. The main issue I am encountering is how strong her consonants are and just how quiet she is? I've heard using xsy with her V4 Soft or Miku Dark tends to smoothen her out, but I'm not entirely sure how to do that, any advice on making her smoother and louder would help a ton. I am also open to just any other advice for working with her.

use piapro studio maybe????
turn brightness up to 127 and mess with dynamics a bit
for choppiness, add an [/h] phoneme or [Asp]
maybe for a to i transitions, add a small [e] note

I'll give that a try. I know there was a method someone used on twitter to make the exported audio louder, for the life of me I cannot find it

There are methods.
In VOCALOID4, there's Mixer, which works similarly to the Volume slider in Piapro Studio, VOCALOID5, and VOCALOID6.
Speaking of Volume, it turns the volume of the sound up
or down

Luka V2 is probably the most difficult one to use, she can be very peaky. I suggest you to set the Accent in the note property down to 30 as a good starting point, if it doesn't work it need to be manually edit the note into 2 section for seprate phonememe Example: watashi [w a], [t a], [S i] if you seperate them it gonna look like this [w a], [t][a], [S i] something like that

If you want to increase the overall loudness you can simply increase the gain knob in the mixer panel.

I don't think you can XYS between luka and miku though, and if you did it is against Terms of Use. keep that in mind.

I definitely did note an improvement with separating the phonememe, thank you!! I completely forgot about the built in mixer...

I should clarify that by xsy I meant using a tool like Vocalmorph to get an xsy effect on certain notes since I don't think you can use xsy in V5

Happy to help! Luka is very difficult especially working with gimmick like EVEC, she work best if edit all phonmeme and accent parameters manually. This process can be tedious and labor intensive however. if you are struggle with her please feel free to reach out forums!

If you are using morphing software then it is perfectly fine.
