Avidemux has the feature to hardsub, though it keeps crashing for me, I suggest you still try it out because this is the easiest hardsub option I've seen in the whole internet so far.
I know this is an old thread, but I'll reply anyways in case someone stumbles upon it through a google search or something. (I know I had a hard time finding the answer myself.)
The only options I know of aside from the ones already mentioned are FFmpeg (which destroys the audio quality for me) and Kdenlive (video editor with native support for hardsubbing and Aegisubs subs). Hopefully this helps someone... somewhere...
