What was it like using Maika for the first time?
I'll be quick: Maika is fun to use.
The good:
And let's see, obviously I'm going to feel comfortable (Spanish being my native language), but Maika seems to me to be such a versatile voice with so much freedom due to the number of recordings that it's relaxing (not to mention her great range, having been recorded in more than 10 pitches). Maika was a very good choice, and I loved using it.
The bad:
Maika's sound generator seems to hate me. When you add things like "n," "d," or "s," Maika has them, but the program doesn't, so you have to set them yourself in "note properties," which is quite annoying.
Another annoying thing is that I tune using notes, not pitches, so sometimes Maika changes the "r a" to "rr a," and it's another annoying thing, since you don't even notice.
Conclusion:
MAIKA is one of my favorites. Her phonemic generator puts her in those two minor problems I mentioned, but for the rest, she's an incredible vocalist and is my comfort voice bank. I know this will be different for non-native speakers, as it's much more confusing, but if you can, use it. MAIKA also has phonemes in English and Japanese!
Extra:
If you are planning to use MAIKA, take this!

and now, the cover!:
Regarding the lyrics adaptation, I love making adaptations, and the vsqx is available for download, both tuned and untuned.
I love "Love is War" and have the full combo in several Project Diva games. It's such an iconic song and I love singing it. :)
