Mixing and mastering practice!
This will be the last time I'll ever use the Waves SSL EV2 channel strip
Constructive criticism about my mixing and how it compares to the original is sincerely welcome

The song is uzP's 'I Don't Understand the Meaning of That Blue'

Notes (details about the cover to personal observations):
-This is using Haruno Sora's Synthesizer V LITE voicebank with Singing Mode enabled (for all notes), as this is for practice and not a full-fledged cover
-The mixing is a bit too bassy on my end, especially with Nahimic enabled
-Please forgive the audio mutes—every Waves plugin I downloaded from Waves Central is in demo mode, except for two plugins (which actually are activated)
-The screenshots have no relation to the song or video—I used them 'cause I didn't have better images on hand
-While mixing, the song (especially with Sora's vocals) reminded me of these three images of Gry (as for the one in the middle, it's the second one)
-I like to imagine him (Gry) as being voiced by SynthV Haruno Sora with no gender parameter adjustments (essentially just vanilla Haruno Sora) for those who missed my previous profile post
- @mary34 is free to judge whether my interpretation/take of Sora is shish or good

So I tried to cover Shoten Taro's remix of ryo's Love Is War for the sixth (?) time now (EDIT 4: the other attempts were never posted publicly). Initially, I used Peiton DS, but found that Hareford's pronunciation and tone fit better. (I used his CVVC TIDE bank, specifically. Essentially the Kire version of his regular CVVC bank)

So the first thing I did when I woke up at around 3:00 AM was to mix and master this lol. It only includes the first half and a sliver of the second half (I didn't finish tuning the second half). Also, this is my first time tuning an UTAU lol.



Resampler(s): Moresampler (WORLDLINE-R for harmonies). Pitch correction (MAutoPitch) was disabled for this version (EDIT 3: Although, I probably won't turn it on again after this lol).






Any kind of feedback will be greatly appreciated.
