Tako Luka was created from the observation that Luka's hair sorta looked like an octopus. There's a fair amount of lore concerning Tako Luka; there are some pretty good MMD stories with Tako Luka(s, yes plural) as the main character. Some lore holds that Tako Luka is separate from Luka, some holds that Tako Luka is a different form of Luka and that Luka can change into Tako Luka.
