Vocaloid 6 or Piapro Studio V4?

Hi! Apologies if this is the wrong area to post this in. I got Vflower for Christmas and was planning on buying either the Vocaloid6 editor or one of the V4X crypton voicebanks because I read that you can use V2-V4 in piapro studio. I own Meiko V3 so I know how piapro studio works and I like it :)

Which one is worth buying?

I don't have Vflower, but I think you are limited to the editor that is included in the package setup. Piapro studio is made for Crypton voicebanks (Miku, Luka, Rin, Len, Kaito, Meiko, Piapro Super Pack), and Piapro studio NT is for Miku NT and Rin&Len NT. I don't think you can use Vflower with Piapro studio, but Vocaloid 6 should be ok (available also on Sonicwire website):flower_smile_lili:

If you actually want to use one of the Crypton v4x voicebanks, get one of them. If you don't, I'd say get the V6 editor. Speaking as someone who uses Piapro Studio v4x mostly, I find it's pretty good!

It's worth noting that the Crypton V4X banks now include both Piapro Studio and the "Lite" version of the Vocaloid 6 editor (and the Cubase LE DAW) on Sonicwire. So it's possible to get a voice bank, Piapro Studio, and an entry level version of the V6 editor to try and see which you prefer. I'm not sure what limitations Lite has, though.

Yamaha has an upgrade path from Lite to the full version. You can upgrade to the full version, with no added voice banks for $122 (or $203 if you want the Yamaha voices).

I personally prefer Piapro Studio personally. It feels better to use for me, but if you buy one of the V4X voicebanks, you could try the Lite version and form your own opinion on Vocaloid6. Vocaloid6 lite has a maximum of 2 tracks (1 vocaloid track, 1 audio track) that can be saved.

I've switched to V6 mostly, because Mac support for Piapro Studio tends to lag behind badly. Apple will put out an annual update, and Piapro will be broken in some way for several months. (It got bad enough I was staying an OS version behind.)

Also, ARA2 support is nice if your DAW supports it. No more pre-delay like Piapro: the Vocaloid timeline stays synchronized to the DAW timeline and both play perfectly in sync. (And being able to draw pitch curves on the notes is also great.)

That said, there are some aspects of Piapro I do like. They mostly do the same thing in the end, aside from V6 banks only working in V6.

Thank you all for the help!! ^^
I tried Vocaloid6 lite and it wasn't my favorite, I really like Piapro Studio and I've been wanting Rin and Len V4X for a while so I'll buy them and "upgrade" to Piapro for V4X.
Again thank y'all very much! :D
