Hey all! I am currently working on a cover. I've finished most of the tuning, but I need some help with mixing. I'm wanting to make IA the perfect volume and reduce engine noise. I use Studio 1 Artist 6. Let me know if there's anything else I should do. Thanks!

very good cover! :miku_lili: I think you need to turn the voice volume up a little during some parts, especially the intro (0:12-0:28) and 1:41, and at 1:17 put a bit more warmth, strenght and expression in her voice:ia_lili:

Thank you! It's been a while, and I tried to follow your advice. I'm a little lost with the mixing (specifically with EQ), and there's still some tuning I'd like to do, but overall, I'd say it's fairly close to completion.

It's been a while, and I'm not sure when my cover will be finished. I'm wanting IA to sound expressive, not necessarily realistic. I'm using pitch bends and note alterations to make her sound more desperate and like she's pushing her range. I'll upload the acapella soon, and I'd really appreciate feedback before I finish tuning and begin mixing.

Here is the acapella! I want IA to sound desperate, especially near the end. The goal is for her to sound like she's pushing her voice too far, and she's cracking and gasping for air. I haven't put in the breaths yet. I'd really appreciate any feedback or advice.

I like the expression of her voice, especially in the middle and at the end! Some little tuning is needed for some small parts, when her voice is lower (at the beginning for example) balance a little more her tone, make her voice a bit warmer, fix some volume, but in general, sounds so good!:ia_lili::miku_lili::kokone_lili:

It sounds great so far! I don't know how much good advice I have to give since I haven't heard it with breaths and the instrumental + Soundcloud only lets me listen to the acapella in post 5. I noticed in some parts you added voice cracks and I think that really helps in making her sound like she's pushing her voice (like she's about to cry), same with the vibratos!

Thank you!! I'm not sure how I want to do it, but I know that the 2nd Chorus will be the loudest, and the intro will be quietest. I'll mess around with some settings when I get the chance. I really appreciate your feedback, it means a lot coming from you! :D

Thank you! I did delete the previous audios, just since they weren't nearly as good. Thank you for noticing the voice cracks and vibratos. I need her to sound emotional, and I think I got it.
I'm not very good at mixing, but I'll try. I've also never done breaths before, so I don't know how that'll go. I purposely cut a few notes short to make IA sound out of breath, in addition to putting room for breaths.

Ooh I see, yeah I noticed the voice cracks and vibratos since I tend to also use them a lot when I want my vocaloids to sound emotional. And good luck for mixing, it's definitely a struggle and I still don't really have the hang of it lol. I think maybe for your cover, I would highly recommend a little reverb, and also EQing it to make the voice sound idk how to describe it... more sharp and bright? As for breaths, are you gonna be using provided breath wavs?
