Commissions closed atm, sorry for the inconvenience m(__)m

Hi, do you want to know the meaning of your favorite vocaloid song? Or do you want your favorite video on Youtube to have English subs? I can help with that! :miki_smile_lili:
  • I can translate Japanese lyric to English.
  • I can translate and add time-stamped subtitles to Youtube video using Youtube's Subtitle Editor. *
*If you're not the uploader, please make sure that they allow subtitles to be added to their video (if you click Gear icon > Subtitles/CC and there's an option to add subtitles, it means the uploader allows subtitles to be submitted to their YouTube video).

If You commission a Translation I will provide:
  • Translated Lyrics
  • Lyrics written in romaji (pronunciation of Japanese characters using the English alphabet)
  • The meaning of the lyrics in English to explain the nuance of the translation
  • Post the translated lyrics to comment section if you want to.
If You commission both a Translation and Subtitles:
  • I will add and timestamp the translated lyrics as subtitles to the YouTube video.**
  • Youtube is going to disable Community Contributions (how I submitted subtitles) on September 28 2020. Any contribution submitted (and approved) before that will still shows on the Youtube video so I will still put up the translation and subtitle commission until then.
** Please note that subtitles submitted to YouTube now need to be reviewed by other users (the community) or the uploader of the video. The subtitles won't appear until enough people/the uploader approves it. I will try to contact the producer to get the subtitle approved but please note that there's a chance they don't read it / don't approve it and the subtitles won't show. Youtube's explanation regarding subtitles.

If you want to see a sample of my translation/subtitles, check my translation that was approved for Dustcell's "Stigma" below. Please note that this is how the subtitle looks like because I added and timestamped the subtitles directly using Youtube's subtitle editor. I do not use and have no experience in using any subtitle maker/editor.

I specialize in translating Japanese to English and adding translated lyrics as subtitles/CC to YouTube videos.

Prices for Translations:

The prices range from USD$10 ~ USD$22 depending on the total length of the song, how many times certain parts repeat, how many unique words there are, how long each sentence is, and if the song has many "untranslatable" Japanese sayings that don't have an obvious equivalent in English. I will also post it in the comments section if you want.

As a general guideline, short songs with simple lyrics start at $10. A song that is long but contains many repeating parts would be around $14-18. A song that is long and contains mostly unique lines that hardly repeat and has longer sentences would most likely be $22.

Prices for Translation and Subtitles:

The prices range from USD $15 ~ USD $30 depending on the same criteria as listed above. Timing the lyrics may seem easy if you already have the text file, but it's time-consuming because the timing that YouTube provides still needs adjustments most of the time.

As a general guideline, short songs with simple lyrics start at $15. If a song is long, but contains many repeating parts, it would be around $20 ~ $25. A song that is long and contains mostly unique lines that hardly repeats and has longer sentences would most likely be $30.
