I started posting these on a Discord server but like, now you guys can see them! It's sort of imagining the shenanigans that go on while Luka prepares her friends for their English voicebanks. You guys can add onto this if you want!

Luka: alright, are there any words you've learned in your spare time?
Len: Fbad word
Luka: GASP
---
Rin: luka, if len says another word like that one can i smite him
Luka: sweetie, i don't think you know what "smite" means...
---
Luka: Kaito, would you tell me what it is you already know?
Kaito: i am the very model of a modern major general
Luka: Kait-
Kaito: i've information vegetable, animal and mineral
Luka: oh, my, i don't think you need english lessons, go get your voicebank already
---
Luka: So, Meiko...
Meiko: So? :)
Luka: So do you want lessons from me, I guess?
Meiko: Lessons in what? :)
Luka: English. Miku will soon be ready for her English voicebank, so now it's your turn.
Meiko: ...what language are we speaking again, tell me?
---
(in japanese)
Luka: so we're going to work on the consonant L
Miku: ...how do you pronounce that?
Luka: Uh, well, what you do is, uh, <llllike this>, see my mouth? see what i'm doing? lllluh
Miku: ...can you explain it? in words?
---
Luka: what you need to do is open your mouth and touch your tongue to the ridge behind your teeth
Miku: nnnn?
Luka: try flicking your tongue
Miku: r (japanese r/[4])
Luka: uh, try dropping the back of your tongue and like, try flicking it again
Miku: nlr
Luka: why is this so hard
---
Luka: alright, len, are you ready to get started?
Len: yeet
Luka was very grateful when Len left that phase.

---
Luka: Try saying my name the English way
Miku: rUkAa (trying to say "luka" in japanese with English intonation)
-a while later-
Luka: Try saying my name in English
Miku: (in exaggerated American intonation but the same Japanese accent) Ruka Megurinei~!
-a while later-
Luka: Try saying Luka in English now
Miku: Um...Ruka
Luka: Say Len.
Miku: Ren?
Luka: Hmm...
Miku: this is hard
Luka: and i'm having the time of my life -_-
Miku: *not grasping sarcasm, in English no less, intensifies*
---
Luka: <Alright, to begin with, what do you already know?>
Miku: ...hello, how are you, mornin', tiktok
Luka: <that will get you nowhere>
---
Luka: <What do you two already know?>
Len: ...I...am...cool boy
Rin: I am...melancholy
Luka: OK then
---
Luka: Miku, what did you have for lunch?
Miku: (had an apple) ...Ringo Starr
---
(in japanese)
Luka: so...vowels
Miku: Yes
Luka: um...yeah...so...see here uh
Miku: hm?
Luka: there are like a billion different vowel sounds in english so
Miku: What...?
Luka: kidding, the ones I was instructed to teach you...darn, I can't find them so I'll have to teach you myself
Miku: ...you mean these? *holds up paper* you gave them to me, remember?
Luka: Sorry, I don't, I'm tired...
---
Len: Luka, can we watch a move?
Luka: ...you want me to do a move? what kind?
Rin: HYPER BEAM!
Len: A move...a moving picture
Luka: Oh, a movie! *rests head in hand* of course, of course. *turns to Len* Yeah, let's see what we've got...
---
Luka: Today we've got a special guest, English veteran Gumi!
Gumi: Hi there! I-I'm Gumi and it's a pl-l-pleasure to me-meet you both today!
Rin: ...Are you going to teach us to speak like that, Miss Gumi?
Gumi: Uh, n...no, I...uh, well, th...the thing is, I...
Luka: Well, sometimes people have things they just can't help, you know...
Gumi: Thank you. Now...
---
(imagine if miku acquiring her english bank was like this)
Luka: Hey Miku! It's been a while, what have you been doing?
Miku: (In Japanese voicebank phonetic English) Well, the truth is...(suddenly speaking proper English) I went to see a movie!
Luka: O.O

Luka: You have all made good progress. For a change of pace let's try an advanced exercise as a little challenge.
(The class breaks out in a nervous sweat.)
Luka: For the first exercise we'll practice pronouncing "L." Let's try saying this phrase.
(Luka writes on the whiteboard.)
Luka: Repeat after me:
"the big black bug bled black blood."

I can imagine Miku being very concerned about that if she's to a point she understands that sentence xD

Luka: Alright, Miku, let's see how well you can pronounce this one.
Blackboard: Road roller
Luka: Road...rorolrer
*uncomfortable silence*
Luka: Road ro...road rol.... *to herself, tearing up* I'm supposed to be an English teacher...
Miku: Road roller?
Luka: HOW ARE YOU ALREADY SAYING IT BETTER THAN ME!? Excuse me while I go have a good cry... *leaves the room*
Miku: Luka...?

*sounds of luka wailing in japanese in the distance, accentuated by the acoustics of what is probably a bathroom. how is wailing in japanese different from wailing in any other language? i dunno, she just was. she comes out of the bathroom, looking harried*

Luka: Alright...nevermind on that. Let's move on...*slumps into chair*
Miku: Class dismissed?

Miku: Luka, that's a bit...
Luka: It's the course material, I'm so sorry...

Rin: The big b4ack bug b4ed b4ack b4ood (4 being the phoneme 4 for japanese vocaloids)
Luka: That's close, but you have to actually touch that ridge behind your teeth.
Rin: *puts finger in mouth*
Luka: With your tongue, Rin.
Miku: Like this. La.
Rin: Ra.
Miku: I see that. You're looking smug, aren't you.
Rin: Teehee.
Luka: We're working on your Ls too, Miku, remember.
Miku: Yeah. But the point is it's a bit different from a Japanese R.
Len: The big black bug...eugh, just thinking about it makes me want to vomit.
Rin: Then don't think about it!
Miku: Wow! Your Ls are already better than mine, Len!
Len: That's what I get for having a name spelled with an L. Also... *smirks* ...who's Ren?
Miku: Stop that already. It's my turn. The big black bug bled black blood.
Luka: You're getting there, Miku!
Miku: I'm...struggling less I suppose...
Len: So do we follow Miku's example?
Miku: No, don't follow my example, please...
Len: Well, if you say prease...
Miku: Ha. Ha.

basically, miku struggles with pronunciation more than rin and len do and they tease her mercilessly for it, and luka's just trying to be supportive and kind and cheer her on

Luka: Okay, let's just move on. Time to practice our rhotic vowels. Open your books and we're going to take turns reading a short story aloud.
(Turning to the story page the students get nervous.)

The Story of a Lord's Elevator by Nokone

There once was a lord who lived in a spire. For years he tired of climbing stairs upward from the door on the first floor. He purchased a ladder but found it even more bothersome so he returned it to the store. And, of course, the cashier gave him a voucher rather than dollars.

It was clear he needed a more severe alternative. He searched here and there for a seller to procure an elevator. One entrepreneur had a standard elevator. So the lord informed the person he was a buyer looking to acquire an elevator.

Another day later the installer arrived to start the procedure to secure the elevator to the interior structure. The lord was surprised when the installer informed him the wires in his spire clearly lacked the required power for operating an elevator of this stature.

He called customer care at his utility provider to procure their services, and days later they connected bigger wires for the spire's power. Soon after the lord finally had his elevator, and didn't have to climb the stairs anymore.

The End

Miku: Alright. *begins to read it*
Luka: Good, Miku. You remember how to form the sounds!
Miku: Yeah, I think R is easier than L...
Rin: Even though the L sound is closer to the R in Japanese?
Miku: Maybe but you have to like, move your tongue differently? "R" is easier cause you just form the sound with your lips.
Rin: You do sometimes try to pronounce R with your tongue...
Miku: Force of habit I guess.
Len: ...How am I supposed to read this?
Miku: With your eyes.
Len: I...I can't pronounce these words!
Miku: Here. Let me help you. *moves over toward Len*
Len: Who decided combining a vowel with an R was a good idea? It doesn't make sense to me!

A few years later, Miku decides to revisit that lesson after her V4 update.

Miku: Funny, this was a lot easier before...
Luka: Hm?
Miku: I...I lost my Rs... *proceeds to have an existential crisis*

I feel like it would be a nightmare to try and tune any voicebank to read that story. I can never seem to use any rhotic vowels as-is. They always require a bunch of tinkering to sound right. I feel like they're really temperamental based on what phoneme preceded them.

Luka: Alright. So the letter R...Miku, say this for me. *hands her a slip of paper*
Miku: ...4ight?
Luka: Actually, that is incorrect.
Miku: Light?
Luka: ...Also incorrect. To make the R sound you raise the back of your tongue and drop the front, rounding your lips helps too...
Miku: Rrr?
Luka: Correct. Say that word again.
Miku: Right...
Luka: That is correct. We will be continuing working on that sound...
Miku: But I thought I already learned how to say it?
Luka: To solidify it in your mind and develop habits.
Miku: Oh. So are you going to start teaching Lin and Ren...uh, Ren and- uh, Lin and...Rin and Len?
Luka: ...and that's why.
