Newbie Piapro Studio/ Cubase LE Help

Hello there,

I recently got the Piapro SP and downloaded everything when I launched everything I couldn't hear anything else besides the Piapro Studio. So I follow a guide and then I can listen to everything again. My ASIO driver is the "generic low latency ASIO Driver" and I checked the "Release Driver when application is in background" on and off while turning my speaker's settings "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" off. Now every time I open Piapro Studio I get the “The host application turns off the Piapro Studio plug-in.” error in the top right corner and I can't hear the studio but I can hear everything else. I don't know if the settings are messed up or if you just can't hear your entire computer while using the studio. I already looked through the Piapro studio help page and couldn't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can't find a fix for it.

I did more research and used the ASIO4ALL control panel and it says that the Realtek HD audio output is unavailable (see image) whenever I have something else open like discord or youtube playing audio. I got the "the host application turns off the Piapro studio plug-in" error gone but I just can't hear anything from the Piapro studio anymore. It does work I just don't get audio but I see the sound on the audio levels going up but I can't hear it. Do I need to get another audio output in order to play both at the same time? I only used the old Vocaloid 3 program where you didn't get a DAW to use it. So I don't really know what I am doing any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sound does play from the Piapro studio I just can't hear it whenever youtube or discord is playing.

I hope what I am saying makes sense if anything doesn't make sense please ask and I will try to clarify.

I still don't have the Piapro Super Pack, but from what I know about V3 and V4X, is that what you said is correct: when you use the studio software, you can't hear the other computer applications, that is made in order to save resources (integrated audio chipset are very limited) and focus only on your audio work and don't let any other audio during your editing/listening process.
this is especially true when using an integrated audio chipset (the Realtek one), because those kind of chipsets are limited in terms of features and can't handle well the editing process with other audio in background.
An easy work-around (and not expensive) is to buy an external usb audio card, for example the Sound Blaster Play 4,and use it for your editing/listening of the Studio software. Maybe the asio driver of the Creative Play 4 also supports multiple audio streams at same time, I have the G1 and it plays everything without any problems ^-^

asio4all is more like a software audio process, while the creative asio driver works at hardware level (the sound card), thats why is more powerful ^-^

I see and it's just like another headphone jack? and I would just need like earbubs or a headset for it?

exactly ^-^ and I checked now on Creative support page, they write the Creative Sound Blaster ASIO driver of all their usb sound card products supports multi-client, so yes, I recommend buying a Sound Blaster usb card: the cheaper models (Play 3 and Play 4) have the headphone jack, the more expensive models have more input/output jacks,but in your case the cheaper model I feel is more than enough ^-^
with the Creative asio driver, everything should play fine at same time,no matter what software you're using, but in worst case scenario of some Windows issues compatibility (can happen), then you can use the headphone jack of the sound blaster usb only for editing the audio, and then use your pc realtek audio jack for external applications like the web browser,so you would need 2 headphones (or 1 speaker and 1 headphone),but this is worst case scenario, everything should work fine from the sound blaster headphone jack ^^
plus, the audio quality will be improved like 10 times better
