I'm no optimist. I'm a moderate pessimist and fairly cynical. I get by with black humor and always preparing for the worst. Here are words I live by:
I could go on. Every time I start feeling good and things start looking up, the world just slaps me down again. I'm still figuring out where I'm going (besides nowhere). Life seems to be one long endurance test. The only way I seem to be able to cope is to have some sort of project going to distract myself. Some days I persevere through sheer spite at the universe.
I don't know what to tell ya. After so many years and years I'm sick of people's words of encouragement. If you're feeling down then let's both give a middle finger to the world and leave it at that.
