  I ordered up a couple custom, cheap canvas prints of two of my all-time favorite Miku artworks to decorate my walls.
  They came out surprisingly good for the size of the image files I had to work with.
  I've been building up my collection of Vocaloid artbooks, but it's a bit difficult to hang those on the wall.
  I'm hoping that seeing these will inspire me to work on creative projects instead of wasting time.​

  I was contemplating the songs "Tell Your World," "Greenlights Serenade," "Hand In Hand," "ODDS & ENDS," "Because You're Here," and "39." Then I started messing around in Photoshop, tinkering with a few different ideas and ended up spending the entire evening putting this thing together. Mostly playing around and just seeing where it would take me. I always think it won't take long, but after sourcing images and getting screen captures, then resizing and adjusting color/contrast, subtle blending and transformations, cropping and compositing everything together into an arrangement... next thing you know hours have gone by!

  Inspired by mikusingularity's post, I remembered I had tracked down a bunch of info and images of the Akatsuki Venus Climate Orbiter (VCO) project. I decided to put them together in a composition. Within the next couple years the probe will run out of fuel. It will eventually leave its eccentric orbit around Venus and end up orbiting the sun (for a long, long, long time).

  If I had to just choose one, I'd say Magical Mirai 2018 is my favorite. "METEOR" and "Greenlights Serenade" are both awesome songs. It's Rin and Len's tenth anniversary, so we get a bunch of duets from them. And I just like the overall set list. If you combine MM2017 and MM2018 together you basically have the best concert ever.

  A comparison I threw together after a discussion about dolls and figures. I own an SPM Snow Miku figure and the pictures don't do it justice compared to how good it looks in-person. Here I just took a quick photo with my camera (sorry it was taken through the glass).

  Seriously, if you need some positive vibes in you life sit down and watch a Miku concert start-to-finish. Part of the experience is feeling the energy of the crowd between numbers. You don't get that if you watch individual song clips, because it gets cut. There's also a flow to the song list; they don't just pick them randomly. So it isn't the same if you watch them all out of order.
  
  Not sure where to begin? My two favorites are Magical Mirai 2017 and 2018. Awesome setlists. Miku, Rin, and Len 10 year anniversaries. They really pulled out all the stops to make some great shows.
  
  

  At the very least take a moment to watch the last little bit of the 2017 finale "Decorator." C'mon, just 30 seconds. Impossible not to smile.

  "Dream to the Future" looks back on significant moments in time.
  Watching this always puts me in tears remembering everything that's happened.
  Music is such a raw unfiltered way to convey feelings that it can even transcend language barriers.
  None of this would exist if people weren't personally, emotionally invested in it.
  Miku has no ego or self-interest. She only exists as a symbol connecting all the fans and artists.​

  They have done Miku Expo tours in USA, Europe, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, Mexico, and Malaysia.
  
  I was discussing what goes into a Miku Expo concert and made this to show what goes into one. This is from an older concert, but it gives an idea of the setup they use. The equipment they have to haul fills its own trailer. You can see they have the screen and projectors, along with the playback and sound systems, and more. They run two duplicate main systems, so if one fails they can immediately switch over to the other so there’s no interruption in the performance.
  
  Often touring bands will use locally sourced stage crews and sound engineers. That way only the band members and their instruments and such have to travel from city to city. One of the things that makes a Miku Expo tour expensive for the company is the fact they have to haul the whole system and the team that runs it along with them. It's too specialized and complex to outsource.

  I decided to make a spread of albums and music I really like and that I have spent a lot of time listening to throughout my life.
  In fact the main criteria for choosing the albums is based on the sheer number of hours I've spent listening to them.
  Looking at it, the whole thing is practically a map of my psyche. It kinda weirds me out.​

  Yeah, so, Hatsune Miku Nendoroids are kinda a thing. Or so I'm told.
  I was looking these up and just got a random urge to put them together in a collage.
  It roughly goes older to newer from top to bottom, but not exactly.​
