Good lord, I just rediscovered these two songs from Nov-Dec 2007 by YashiroP. There isn't much info on them. As soon as I heard these I instantly recognized them. I feel like they were fairly popular when they came out, but it looks like the original reprints on YouTube are long gone. It's hard to describe what this makes me feel. Like finding a keepsake that you thought was lost. These nearly forgotten songs that I listened to so much back then.
I spend a lot of hours finding new music and curating these playlists to try to help people find new music. Sorting them by genre/theme/style. Listening to and sorting each playlist to make sure it flows nicely with no jarring transitions. Shuffling the order so there isn't the same artist all in a row or a long string of songs that sound too similar. Deciding what to cut to limit the lists to no more than 100 songs.
But the part that really tries my patience is listening to hundreds, hundreds of frankly mediocre pop rock, soft rock, and piano ballad songs. And it's not like I have this stuff on in the background while I'm doing something else. I'm sitting here with headphones on, holding a fidget cube, just listening to the music. I appreciate the work it takes just to produce any kind of song. It would just be nice if more people would experiment a bit with their compositions.

I often worry about something catastrophic happening to all the old Vocaloid videos on NicoNicoDouga and YouTube.
File loss, account purges, deletion by users, something. It would be heartbreaking for all of those songs and animations to disappear forever. I know a huge number of them wouldn't get re-uploaded. After 13+ years many would be misplaced or the author might have lost interest or be otherwise unavailable. I wish I could archive it all; even the most obscure ones. Lest they all be "lost... like tears in the rain."
