Yeah, it's a bit sad to see... there's so many different crowdfunding campaigns happening lately though that I think even the JP side is finally starting to feel it.
Zunko's various CF campaigns -> Tsuina's Synth V - > Seika's Synth V -> Adachi Rei's A.I.VOICE -> Solaris (though this is primarily on the Western side I've seen some JP accounts spread it) -> Rosa's CeVIO AI -> at least two more campaigns we know about that haven't yet started (Tange Kotoe and the CeVIO AI twins)... all these were announced or happened within the past year (one year ago from today). This isn't even counting miscellaneous crowdfunding campaigns that aren't voice synth related - I know the Kotonohas recently were pushing one to succeed since their involvement was a stretch goal (and it did indeed suceed).
It's getting really hard to keep track of, and of course with regular releases too like CeVIO AI (even if this is just Yukari and Kiritan as of right now, the talk banks keep coming and you have to buy the editors as well) and Maki and other A.I.VOICE characters coming this year.... there's so much money going around that I wouldn't be surprised if it's finally drying up orz.

ngl I wouldn't be surprised if the CeVIO AI twins are where we start seeing a more negative reception- not only is there a seeming lack of professional support for them, historically synths seen as similar to the Kagamines get a negative rep.
