i can say though its interesting that a number of 'underground' voca folk who seek out banks no longer distributed or pirated have been very angry and against people who do keep bringing vivi up lol? so thats.... nice i guess? funny where people's morals lie sometimes..

Every time someone brings up Vivi, I get really confused because I don't even know who she is, let alone what she has to do with anything. All a google search yields is a VNN article about their mascot, Vivi, and some unrelated Twitter accounts that just happen to have the name Vivi.

@Kazumimi Vivi was a Vocaloid "announced" around 2017. She was responded to pretty negatively due to an EXTREME lack of actual preparation and poor responses from the announcers, and was pretty much immediately forgotten.

@Kazumimi yeah theres not actually a lot on her-- (also confusing too bc the CNN article always comes up) most information was kinda wiped from the web and im kinda surprised there isnt like more info about her on the vocaloid wikia. basically she was a vocaloid advertised with an english demo. i dont remember how it all went down anymore in detail but i recall there being some controversies on whether or not the people who were making her were allowed to make her/how they acquired the dev kit or something? it was very out of nowhere with little preparation it seemed. not sure how much of the drama was true (so dont quote me on saying theyre facts, its just what i recall the drama being about) but i think its what tore down the project in the end aside from other legal issues that came up about the project. Vivi was completely recorded for chinese, japanese, and english banks but she was never compiled and only can be used in the dev editor which is mostly useless as it is. there was art and design made too which can be seen with some digging in the right places. the people behind vivi iirc dont want the files or art going around, as many ppl on the team have been harassed through the project's lifespan.

Ahhh, I remember hearing that now, but never remembered the name! Thank you for explaining it to me! It's kind of a shame the legal circumstances were dubious and the project appeared to be poorly planned--she could have been an interesting addition to the already existing Vocaloids!
