I would like to punch her too. This has been going on for a while, but she’s just about the only doctor our insurance will cover, so I don’t have much other choice.
When I first came home after dropping out of college, I went to her to request getting on medications in the first place, because I was heavily suicidal. I had the doctor’s records transferred over from the hospital I was admitted to in Missouri following a suicide attempt at college and everything. She asked me to describe my issues in detail, so I told her, at length, about my difficulties controlling and regulating my emotions, the fact that I had just left an abusive relationship, how my pastor had outed me to the whole church after confiding in him, leading to people I had known and loved since birth refusing to acknowledge my presence or even my existence, everything.
I got a paper detailing the visit afterward. She had written “PRIMARY CONCERN: Morbid Obesity. SECONDARY CONCERNS: Weight, health, autism, occasional sadness.” So… yeah.
