I used Shotcut for my most recent video. It's an open source video editor and I found it to be mostly usable, but bad with CPU usage. Immediately before settling on Shotcut I tried Openshot, but it was absolutely dreadful.
The next time that I need to edit clips together, which could be a few months away, I'm going to try the free version of DaVinci Resolve. Or maybe even the video features that are built into Reaper. But to be honest, I think Reaper's video features are pretty bare bones and/or a work in progress.

(the really "artsy" side of me wants to like actually make music videos feat. me in stupid outfits running around or whatever, but first i would have to get resources for that askksks)
