Mum was livid when I had it done - in fact, she actually started crying in the hairdressers. Since then, she's occasionally bitched about my hair whenever she's in a bad mood and last year, I got fed up of her moaning about it so I promised to grow it out. But the other night made me remember that long hair really isn't my thing, and now I want to cut it back to short. Unfortunately, I know she's gonna start bitching again when I tell her I want the pixie back, especially as I've been growing it out for around ten months now. orz
I know I shouldn't care what people think about my appearance, but as of now, I can't move out, so I'm stuck living with my parents for the foreseeable future. Happily, myself and my boyfriend have been saving up for a mortgage through individual ISAs, so once I'm done with my PhD and my bf lands a steady income, we can start making baby steps towards finding a place on our own and I will be free from Mum's judgemental ass.
