Heey Tianyi sounds great there!!! Thats probably my favorite usage of her! I think Haiyi wouldve sounded interesting in her place, what a shame. What was the DV mandarin bank btw? Im on a lookout.

I hadn't chosen yet... I downloaded Huan Xiao Yi, Lian Hua, and Yongqi, and I was gonna feel them out. I still want to, because I've never made a cover in DV before... the song's nearly six years old at this point. The chances of the instrumental coming up anywhere in the West are slim to none by now, I fear.
Considering I've already covered two ilem songs, though, maybe this is a sign I should try something else, heh.

Most Chinese producers upload to pan.baidu, which you need an account to access, and you can only make an account if you have a local Chinese phone number. If a producer gets kind and posts a link to the Baidu download (as ilem often does), you can often download it in JDownloader and it'll give you what you need... but this time it didn't work, because the instrumental was an .flp file, not a .wav or .mp3. (The .mp3 of the original song that came in the file, for instance, downloaded without an issue. So I don't have the instrumental, but I've at least got the song itself.)
