considering the amount of Stuff on HXVOC's design i didnt realize ES posted an even *more* detailed reference for him... so much stuff! the insight to what his arms are made of it super cool too.
full art and reference sheet for HXVOC

random thoughts: Back of the shirt "Crater Head" makes it feel like hes wearing one of those band tour shirts... wonder if its a band, and if its one he likes or... part of? I am also wondering if the name Crater Head could reference a disaster...
very excited about this series of voices. the lore they have also decided to develop is also very interesting and seeing an english vocal synth company tackle what feels like a unique attempt on making characters is super exciting to me. i guess since this is the Tone chroma thread let me...
new demo!
edit because i posted it asap and didnt finished listening so,
web page now has his full art!
Releases on March 27th. Pre orders on Feb 22nd
He has 8 vocal modes:
Clear, subdued, aggressive, belt, nasal, dark, rap, and scream.
is there any clarification on commercial usage for featured limited stuff? i assume buying the vb will mean you can use it for commercial purposes, as you do in SV1 even with the basic free version. but tbh im not surprised theyd limit it so much (i mean, its in the name lol...). previously...
i was trying to understand if that is what it meant by "feature-limited version that comes with all voice purchases" which would make sense, yeah. tbh some of the wording on their pages have confused me a bit on initial reads and felt a bit unclear... @_@
do you mean like a free version?
tbh its not totally clear to me but i think so? but differently? on the purchase page it mentions a "pro version" and "feature limited version"
Synthesizer V is available in two editions: the Pro edition (this product) and a feature-limited version that comes...
perhaps i was misreading/not understanding their wording then-- if its one voice to chose the three from, for both full version and upgrade, that makes sense then
also this was already on the site but worth summarizing for people here:
It is available for pre-order already. It will come at the price of $99, with 3 free voicebanks - Liam, Mo Xu, amd Mai 2- to choose from. There will also be a discount on all SV2 voicebanks on the site as well (check the...
SV2 launch video + new voices
male english, Liam:
female chinese, Mo Xu:
do we have a thread just for SV2....? should we? thought id put em here for now
assuming 16500 yen is the final price, that translates to about $109 usd (right now). compared to sv1's current price of $89 usd, that seems like a fine price increase to me, not ridiculous for the quality we get imo. and this isnt even w the thought they could give sv1 owners a discount too...
while obviously this is still all speculation, i dont doubt the possibility that Galenaia would have the ability to sing "non-operatic" to some extent mainly because we have already seen operatic vocals who have the ability to do so (depends on how you look at it. Feng Yi tho her opera mode is...
thats definitely not something i am trying to say at all.
what i am saying in its most simple form is that the state they have shown synth v 2 in right now fits to what they seem to have in mind as a goal over all and for its showcase, so i can see why we dont have the more extended in depth...
popping in here to make a 'i just when to NAMM' post.
the version of hxvoc and galenaia at the show were not actually their newest/most recent developed versions as they couldnt get the newest builds on the lap tops. i mainly was paying attention to hxvoc as the other ppl around were listening...
i have just come home from NAMM myself and i really wish i was able to really actually get my hands on it in the sense of like. in depth using it. but it wasnt possible, not like id expect them to just allow strangers to go ham on a completely new beta software lol... but the people were nice...
kinda wish they went with different spelling for HXVOC as the missing "a" keeps making me read h-voc or hex-voc instead lol... like, HAVK (HAVXC? idk) or something. i see people uses x's for aesthetic to fill vowels but i just never read a vowel there
i think on some ends this stuff may not seem insanely "new" enough to warrant a new version of the software but, there is a lot more going on here than what was present in the current version that i can only see a whole new program having been possible. because its not just about the mechanical...
huh. for some reason i did not even register it as Spanish wen i first listened i realize.... probably because that sort of opera singing i associate with english (or italian) rather than spanish, and was not thinking thatd be the language sung (i find opera style singing to be hard to...
