Some of this is a little conjecture on my part, since my info is the same as anyone else's. But this post reminded me of a few things, too.
To begin with, CFM is involved with a lot of different areas, but until they started work on NT, I don't believe they worked directly on creating a vocal...
I think this sentiment shows just how much goodwill and hype CFM had when they announced the development of NT. Probably nobody else could've made that announcement and generated as much excitement or as high a level of expectation. Subsequently, that naturally led to this honestly tragic...
It might be easy for people just getting into the fandom to focus on the vocal synths exclusively. Once you've seen a few concerts, though, you come to recognize and feel fondly toward the band members, too. It always makes me happy seeing familiar faces each year!
Plus, the songs are...
I honestly rather like that the shows typically fall on an unusual hour for me. It underlines the fact that I'm getting to participate in a global culture, and do so in a way that would've been much more difficult without the benefit of the opportunity that streaming provides. Setting an alarm...
That DOES sound cool. From the video, looks like you get a representation of what the MIDI notes are on the actual track, and then you can edit the actual lyrics in a little docked window.
I wonder how much is required from the DAW itself to allow for that.... I mean, none of the other vocal...

For EQ (which is short for "equalizer"), you're going to want to use an EQ/equalizer plugin, which will often have one of those terms in the name. The same goes for compression, in which case you'll want to use a "compressor." Most DAWs will probably come with at least one of each of those, so...
I have my own thread going where I've been getting advice about how to make a Vocaloid yell. It's not the same thing, but there's probably some overlap, so you might find some useful ideas there.

Having said that, I'd say not to...
Thank you! I did some work on it yesterday, putting parallel compression onto both the regular vocals and Growl part. It definitely helped with the gain I could put on the shouts, and let the Growl come in on the more stressed parts without wrecking the sound of the rest. I'm going to keep...
