I feel like I'm the only person on the internet who loves Gen 4. XD But I guess nostalgia's coloured my opinion, since Diamond/Pearl was one of the first games I managed to finish all by myself, and I spent a lot of time during postgame trying to fill in the Sinnoh Pokedex.
I know Gen 1 is...
Your interpretations of the Cryptonloids are fairly in line with mine, but I see Miku as additionally a very eccentric person secretly. Like, "I make faces and spout quotes that could become internet memes" eccentric.
Regarding Gumi, I've always thought of her as a ditzy dreamer on the outside...
Has Len just decreased in popularity among the fandom in recent years? I can't recall any recent Len hits on NND right now. It's a bit weird for me (as an old lady by the Vocaloid fandom's standards) to think that Len isn't as popular as he used to be, considering that I can remember his crazy...
I love those themes too! Azumanga Daioh and GiTS: SAC are also two of my favourite anime. :)
My personal favourite anime songs are hiding under the spoiler, since there are a lot! (I would have posted YouTube links too, but I would have been writing this post all day otherwise).
I had to do French and Spanish in high school, but I've forgotten all of it now. ^^;
I've been meaning to pick up German at some point, since it would be really helpful for my career prospects. (I want to become a researcher in Nazi German history). I'd also like to pick up Japanese and Russian...
I've seen the English translation of the Disappearance novel sometimes when I'm at conventions or geek shops, but I've never picked it up. Sad to hear that it's amateur in writing and plot, so I'm kinda hoping better Vocaloid light novels will be picked up in the future.
I can't wait for the inevitable political shitstorm that will eventually happen with Tianyi Japanese when someone drops an anti-communist/Chinese government song. (Unless the Japanese fandom in particular just ignores her completely, like they did with SeeU Japanese.)
My nationality is British, but I adore a bunch of German groups I didn't list in the op. (For the record, I'm not a Rammstein fan but my mom's boyfriend is).
Didn't spot a specific non-Vocaloid music subforum, so I decided to post this thread here.
Anyhow, since many of us here enjoy music outside of the Vocaloid scene, I was curious to see who everyone's favourite artists and/or bands were. I've spoilered my list since it turned into a top ten...
Vocaloid emojis would be cool, but I imagine it would take a long time for them to be made (sprite artists have real lives too!), so I wouldn't mind using normal emojis.
In terms of art style, CLAMP, Naoko Takeuchi and Arina Tanemura are my favourites. I don't have a favourite mangaka in terms of story-writing, but that's because I haven't read lots of manga series.
I'm close to graduating too! I've just got two annoying essays and a presentation to do, then that's all my coursework finished. But right now, I feel really stressed out because the presentation is next week and the essays have to be in for next month. x_x
