I know I'm gonna get keelhauled as a judgemental ass for saying this buuuuut... Kikuo is one of those artists who belong in a personal tier of mine which I can only designate as 'Sus'. I don't have any solid reasons as to why, but there's just something about him I don't like. It's really hard...
Ooof, even if I happened to stan the CUL family, I definitely wouldn't support any future Zan-Shin projects in the future after reading this. What a dumpster fire.
Aww man, that's so shitty to hear. Even if fans are understanding, I wouldn't be surprised if people didn't pay up again for a WhiteCUL VB (because what if history repeats itself?).
I'm just gonna dismiss WhiteCUL V6 as vaporware for the time being, unless they get some kind of proper backer to...
To be honest, I've always thought Flower had the same problem, but I have heard some songs where she's mixed well enough that you can't hear it so much.
I always assumed the early V2s in particular were choppy because nobody had really got to grips with V2 development yet. If you listen to VY2 V2 (the last V2 release), he sounds really fluid compared to say, Miku V2. (I still love Miku V2 tho, choppy phonemes and all. It's ironic how Miku NT is...
The Vocaloid Wiki has samples of VBs on specific product pages, and even though it's just Arsloid singing "Do re mi~", you can still tell how bad his Bright and Soft VBs are if you click the tabs for them. His base VB is completely fine, however.
Arsloid's Soft and Bright VBs, because they weren't designed to be traditional additional VBs at all - they were described as "extended libraries" around the time he was announced, which turned out to be semi-recorded VBs only meant to be used with V4's XSY. And when I say "semi-recorded", I...
My boyfriend's been running through the anime over the last few months (work keeps interrupting his anime bingewatching now), and I wasn't impressed with MHA based on what I've seen either. It falls headfirst into the typical shounen pitfalls of repetition in both dialogue and story developments...
VocaDB says it was on a compilation album that was originally free to download, but that seems to be lost too. I was gonna say it's quite strange when this happens (because everyone likes downloading and sharing free albums, and in the Western fandom, plenty of Vocaloid albums make their way to...
Most new software is really buggy on release - that's why so many people don't preorder or buy games on launch like they used to, for example.
EDIT: Remake of Mai's original demo with SV2.
That's actually much worse than Tiny Vocaloid, which wasn't great but you could still play around with a VB for a limited number of bars. SV2 trials sound almost pointless to use if you actually wanted to experiment and see if you like a voice, because 40 notes isn't a lot at all.
This is actually a popular opinion on here lol. Are there more people being willfully blind on Xitter/Bluesky? Many of us on this forum are old school vocal synth fans who can remember all sorts of fan synth and VB projects going up in flames for different reasons, which is why some of us like...
