Suggestion Homepage Profile Post Editor

Could the full posting editor be made available when adding profile posts on the homepage? Right now, it basically just lets you add text; if you want to add anything else (like links, images, videos), you need to post and edit.

Alternatively you can to go to your profile page to post your status update there, there you have the editor available.
But yeah, I've wondered myself why isn't the full text editor on the front page instead of a "budget version".
