Hello again! Today im very happy to post what was my very first Vocaloid song ever! i made this one about 2 years ago more or less and it was the very first song i ever made where i had written all the lyrics and created the song and melody around the lyrics them selves. This song would go on to be the foundation for most of my more recent projects.

Since this was the very first time i had ever used Vocaloid i was also learning what it could do and how to use it. So i made every section in this song in a different singing style just to kind of see what she could do. At first i was a little worried that this might feel a lil weird or something but it turned out better than i was expecting! ^^

I learned a lot about making music with vocal elements and how it differs from my non vocal music with this song. its a totally different beast working with voice and i had so much fun doing it. :D

So with out further ado, I present: The Tyranny of Evil Men.

Ooh, this is really good! I had heard from a lot of people that Vocaloid6 was really bad, but this definitely disproves that! Michelle sounds really clear and the diction is also quite good, I could understand most of it without the lyrics at all. It also lacks Vocaloid6's signature fuzzy engine noise, which is nice to hear. I haven't heard anything with Michelle before, given that she's a V6 starter, but I will have to now. Her tone is so pretty!

If you're willing to purchase more voicebanks, I would highly recommend AVANNA from the company Zero-G. She's a similar tone to Michelle, being quite soft, but her quality and diction are amazing, especially for Vocaloid3 standards. She's on the cheaper end at around $60 US, and it's totally worth it.

The instrumental is also amazing on its own. It sounds like a mix between older pop and videogame music, which is quite unique and pretty. Congrats on your first song using Vocaloid, and I can't wait to hear more from you!

Oh wow I love this genre of music, this sounds so sick. This is actually my first time hearing Michelle too, I think- really nice.

@Bookworm2 @cafenurse Thank you! when i got vocaloid 6 it came with ten default voices. 5 males and 5 females. of all of them i felt Michelle sounded the most natural. tho i have started to play a round a lil with some of the others. like sakura is good to layer on top of some parts for supporting choirs, as she has a higher register. and some of the males might be good for deeper bassy parts. im deff going to keep experimenting!

but ya, so far Michelle's been my go to for most of my new projects. iv gotena pretty good handel on what she can and cant do. like for example none of the vocaloids can do things like say scream, yell or whisper. but oh well. maybe well get that in vocaloid 7 :p. for now theres already so many possibilities as it is. iv finished about 6 vocaloid tracks so far over the last couple years. 2 are uploaded so far. (yes i know im a bit slow). i plan on uploading the rest over the next couple of weeks or so. takes me a lil bit to render the vids. (i make the vid part in unreal engine)
