I spend an unhealthy amount of time thinking about things like this lol. I think I'd love to see a 'loid with a cartoonish (rather than anime/moe) voice acted voice with a distinctly western art style that's either comic inspired, or something similar to UPA Revival, Alex Ahad, Uejini/Gashi-Gashi, or Kinuko Cartwright's (careful w/ those last 3 links, their art is a bit spicy!)..kind of a way to give us a cute character that can appeal to the "nerd/geek/otaku" audience without rehashing the same "cute 14 year old schoolgirl" trope we've seen a million times in vsynths already, maybe even a slight chance of attracting people outside of that demographic too.
With a voice like Pinkie Pie or Applejack from MLP..I think an Applejack-like Vocaloid/vsynth would be amazing for country (and country music seems neglected in vocal synth! There are even a decent amount of rap and operaloids now but I can't name any country ones, unless Sweet Ann and Big Al were suggested for it, they kind of give me the vibes, but I don't remember.)
Also said character would ideally be at least 18, we have enough minorloids to last us years lol

If you have any voiceless fanloids or vsynth OCs feel free to post them in this thread! Not UTAU though, I feel those are different since they already have voices.

Yes! country is so neglected! A vocal synth with a distinctly Western and cartoon-inspired aesthetic would be such a breath of fresh air in the vsynth space . You are right though, Sweet Ann and Big Al have the tonal qualities, but neither was specifically aimed at country!

I think I would like to see more Opera inspired vocal synths in general :3

More Celtic vocal synths with different accents! Avanna has a type of Irish accent, but even then Ireland has a ton of regional accents that would be fun to hear in vocal synth form. (Galway? Belfast? Cork? Shall I go on? Or a Limerick accent like Dolores O'Riordan?)

But most of all I think it'd be super interesting to get a Scottish or Welsh-accented vocal. Or more British dialects, like how we have Oliver and Leon for standard Southern British and Sonika for a more Northern accent (IIRC she's supposed to be from around Liverpool)

Or...Canadian Vocaloid, anyone? I know most Canadians have a fairly US-adjacent accent but we just haven't gotten one yet and I think it'd be interesting.

Or a vocal synth with a more obviously audible Australian accent...for some reason both Sweet Ann and Ninezero's accents are very off-and-on

Oh, or more Vocaloids with REGIONAL American English. Most American Vocaloids are very General American and there's not usually much regional distinction. I'd love to hear a Vocaloid with an East Coast accent, or a Texan accent, or even a Cajun accent.

TL;DR more accents please

Also, Big Al and Sweet Ann have country listed among their recommended genres, but they don't necessarily have full-on southern accents to REALLY pull it off without phoneme editing

Oh, and I wholeheartedly agree on the cartoon thing. Would love to see it! (Although does Ruby count toward that? She's designed by a cartoonist and has a pretty nasally voice)

screamo... please.... it is undeniably probably one of the hardest singing styles to achieve in vocal synthesizing right so its no surprise we havent seen it. but i want to see actual hardcore rock/punk/emo singing focused on, i see too much pop punk being considered instead! ninezero has that kinda accented rock/metal genre sound and NOA Hex was also implied to be good for pop punk. but wheres my hardcore? scremo? death metal growls? i hope we can see that happen with more realism. though in general would still be nice to see masculine english vocals aimed towards those genres. too many of them are very "generic" and not specialized in that area of rock.

i also would love to see some more vocals with character designs not in an anime art style- something more akin to American cartoon styles would be nice. honestly, any kind of unique non-anime style is something id love to see, especially when they are non-japanese as it feels like itd be fitting to do that (and then you get anime art anyways...)

Ruby might count a bit! Loved her concept, wish she caught on more. Her newer designs by Misha are so cute and I loved her installer art

I'd say Dex and Daina but they're more anime-styled tbh. Though they kinda give off Western "animesque" show vibes, which is kind of its own thing (ATLA, Totally Spies, etc.). Avanna has a bit of a retro fantasy anime/JRPG look to her.
