The song Patchwork Staccato that was recently uploaded by PJSK almost had me in tears. You know, I'm so invested in this song because it's actually one of my favorites. Miku, Meiko, and Rin look breathtakingly beautiful in the video, but the moment they start to sing, I can barely hold myself back due to their voice condition.
There seems to be a recurring issue where the virtual singers do not blend well with the voice actors whenever they sing together. There are two possible reasons for this: First, the NT voicebank is certainly underdeveloped (I keep on wondering why would they avoid Vocaloid voicebanks altogether?). Second, unprofessional tuning (or simply not tuned at all) makes the virtual singers sound flat and rather unpolished.
As a huge fan of these virtual singers, I eagerly watch every new PJSK video, hoping to see the virtual singers shine. Although I'm left disappointed time and again, I still hope that one day things will get improved.

honestly, it's baffling how everyone's jumped on the 'Yamaha bad' train but continue to give crypton a pass when they're prob even worse (like pointing out how small their software development team actually is, when the guys who made THE MOST POPULAR VOCALS IN THE WORLD could def afford an actual team)
