VOCALOID Least Favorite Vocaloid Ever

Bookworm2

Your friendly neighborhood Vocaloid nerd
I was just wondering, what is everyone's LEAST favorite Vocaloid? You know, the ones you just can't stand under most circumstances? The ones with terrible quality, an annoying voice, or you just dislike them for no particular reason. Specific appends can also count if you dislike that particular append.

For me, it has to be Gachapoid. His voice is just really annoying to me, and I want to punt him into the sun.

I couldn't bring myself to dislike nonetheless hate any Vocaloid or UTAU, but I digress. As a preamble, I love their personality and whenever they're in non-music videos, but Oliver. I've only listened to a few of his songs and I didn't enjoy any of them. But I should give our dear young lad a more honest go one of these days.

I don't think I actually dislike any of them, and my goal is to use all of them eventually. I think no bank is truly horrible or unusable.
I guess my least favorites are cyber Diva/Songman? Not super into the designs, names, or the voices most of the time. Although even with those I've heard good uses.

I don't really care for Daina not enough to say that I hate her but the tone of the voicebank hurts my ears typically .-.

I don't exactly like Galaco. It's not an issue with the quality of the voicebank, I just think her voice is a bit... boring? It's just a bit bland and generic in my opinion.

Yumemi Nemu hands down. Somehow manages to be ever so slightly worse than Gachapoid
I find Nemu to be a step up from Tone Rion (who I found to be legit obnoxious, especially on V3), but her voice type is definitely an acquired taste.

I can't say I legitimately hate any voice synth. There's certain voice types I dislike more than others (such as what I can only describe as "cursed moe and shota" voices), but even then I've found songs I really like with those voices, so it really depends who's using them. I think the closest banks I hate are those intentionally made to appeal to NSFW crowds only (I won't name any product but there's at least one out there); any voice that's poorly tuned (even Miku can get me grating if she's pushed way too far); and lazy cash grabs (*coughGemvoxcough*).

Kasane Teto. I have an irrational hatred of her. Yes, I have been seething for the past year. Idk why I hate her, because her voice isn't even that bad. I just don't like her (it probably is because of new fans and stuff that I ended up hating her).

edit from later: i just realized this thread said vocaloid in the title and not vsynth in general. whateverrrr it still works for the thread lol

With respect to Rule 7 of the forums, it would be best if this thread were not used for unconstructive hate towards small UTAUs created by hobbyists.
I agree, and not to mention there's so many UTAUs and similar free/open source VBs out there of varying quality that a thread like this would easily get bogged down by obscure banks most of us haven't heard of. (It's why I mostly stick to talking about professional, paid banks when it comes to quality issues.)

I don't really have a least favorite lists of VB but gachapoid is something that i don't want to spend money on.
There is some vb that i have love&hate relationship with, i would say anything that rely on E.V.E.C is probably my least favorite. It is sound amazing on paper but so poorly implemented.

XSY is nice but they have some limitation i find it amazing and ahead of it's time.

I haven't heard a lot of newer commercial Vocaloids, and I tend to like at least one usage I see of an often hated or ignored one. But I remember not liking Galaco, Mayu or Tone Rion (though I really like Yumemi Nemu) for their voice, and Tone Rion's V3 design annoyed me because of the cyber maid little girl look and the stupid useless bandaid on her extremely long boot... sock... thing.

I also historically don't like a lot of Vocaloid Voicebanks for characters I do like. I was a Kaito V3 Straight hater for so many years because I thought V3 Soft was the better V3 bank and V1 was the better Kaito bank for usages that required a bit more power. Turns out that V3 Straight can be really good if utilized properly, and I eventually found really good usages using him. While I have grown out of that, a current day upset for me is Luka + Meiko SP. as someone who loves the two's unique vocal properties, it makes me so sad that so many very experienced users have gone on to say they can't get them to not sound like Miku :( such a dissapointing change of direction to me.

When I was young and new to the fanbase, I would pick a Vocaloid I thought was "overrated" and tried to be a hater because I thought it was very cool to have negative opinions on fictional characters. The problem with that is I chose other characters from other series to hate based on if i found them annoying in terms of personality, something that can't be really done with vocal synths outside of aesthetic reasons (like not liking their voice or design). As such, my least favorites outside of the mentioned "I don't really like their voice or design" crew were founded on nitpicks.

I remember Len being one such Vocaloid because i was a ride or die Kaito fan and thought Kaito deserved more popularity. A year later, I would aim my obligatory hate lazer at Utatane Piko, because a lot of the mods on Vocaloid Amino loved him and some of the userbase would cater to that love to get their creative posts featured on the front page. Since Piko and Hiyama Kiyoteru's (+ Yuki's and Miki's) birthdays are so close together, I ended up thinking Piko was being unfavoritely favored over Kiyoteru (a character and voicebank I adore dearly). Interesting to note that I loved (and still really like) both these guy's voicebanks. I don't know what 15 year old me's problem was.
