In general, I find the entire audiophile movement to be a long running scam. While I totally get the complaints about poor CD and digital mastering (because even I can identify obscenely loud and/or poorly mastered records in my £20 headphones), the compulsion to spend money on vinyl (in the idea that it automatically sounds better than CDs or digital files) or expensive playback equipment screams money burning to me.

The thing about audiofools is that people willing to spend $1k or even $10k just for cable. Yes. Just a single cable, and they "believe" it's sounds better, which isn't (I can explain that).
Most of the time it just sound different, or people's fools themselves (placebo effect).
