Wait, that's actually SO COOL. I watched the original music video for the song and thought it was really good. This is such a cool mix!! I almost died at the "nee?" 😭

EDIT: Are the voice actors for Love Live also idols?? Like were they hired under the expectation that they would also perform on stage or did they learn to do this for the job? If that's the case, that's really amazing?

@pico yep! Love Love always had the concept of anime/virtual idol and irl idol. It's really smart. You can sell double the merch, have live concerts easily and the look of the voice actors really isn't that important since they still have their anime counterpart.

So the actors were idols? Like, did they hire idols to play the characters in the game? Or did the seiyuu become idols? Sorry, just trying to understand the lore I guess LOL

Miku is so fluid here that the other girls looks more a robot than her

@pico ahh well, for the first generation μ's (muse) I think all of them were at least already known voice actresses but only 3 had music careers before. Nanjou Yoshino who plays Eli sang "only my railgun" and got quite popular through that, Mimori Suzuko who plays Umi was part of a small Idol group called Cutie Pai for a short time and Eriko Hori/Pile who plays Maki was already a known solo singer. But true big idols beforehand, no. (I might be forgetting something tho, so take with a grain of salt) And basically all girls from the new generations were fans of the older ones, it's really cute.
