I don't think it helps that that this point, Yamaha seems to have long gone back to the original idea of Vocaloid being an experimental program for professional musicians. Some of the V6 Beta banks really position themselves into that idea. The obvious problem with the change in focus is that it's alienated the audience they gained when Miku was released, which is why V6 gets attacked every time a VB is released on SynthV, especially if it's a port.

The thing is, this keeps happening for every vocal that was on another engine, it was the exact same thing when Popy, Rose and Kafu were announced for synthv, people started saying that Cevio is trash, that it's a dead program, that the companies were fed up with how bad quality it is and so on. It's very clear that the majority of the western fandom sees synthv as the best and only engine and everything else is always seen as inferior no matter what. It's incredibly annoying how most synthv fans can't appreciate any engine release without throwing shit towards other programs when companies have stated from the start that having multiple versions of the same vb is to ensure variety and not because one is better than the other. I agree with the fact that Yamaha is trying to shift his audience and that the community doesn't appreciate that, I'm not fond of their recent decisions either, bt the problem is this kind of hate is directed towards anything that's not synthv

I'm among the people who personally actually prefers synth Gumi to her v6 if I had to choose one, it's not that this new version is bad or anything at all, it sounds much cleaner and I think it did wonders to her tone and expression, the only thing that gets to me is the constant spite that is being brought up when the two can coexist perfectly while catering to different audiences and needs orz
