I would get the full version instead of V5 as I plan to do, but there's not that many English vocals as far as I've seen. Eleanor Forte is nice, but her voice isn't exactly one size fits all. But at least I'll learn something about tuning

Just stick with the trial, you can use it for unlimited amount of time. When they'll release more english VBs that are paid then purchase the full version.

It's very good for practicing tuning! It's easier to use than Vocaloid, I think, at the expense of having less options and being a little more limited in controls. But three of its four voicebanks are free (and the paid one is Chinese), and you can use the free version with no limitations, like Patuk said. There's a phoneme chart on here somewhere - I'll see if I can track it down!
