  • Working on my vocal synth presentation (now due tomorrow morning). Being able to condense everything I know into at least 200 words is a lot harder than I thought. The assignment doesn't require any sources, but I'm thinking on adding a "further reading" slide with song recs and articles. Anyone got suggestions what I should put there?
Have an end of semester project to do this weekend and I'm deep set on making it an intro to vocal synths

I feel like the problem isn't gonna be gathering enough information to present, but rather keeping my presentation under 5 minutes lmao

I feel you. I did a presentation in vocalsynths for Speech in college and got ten points docked for being “too rambly.” 😅 Best of luck to you!!

Posting vocaloid art on my instagram is so much easier than I thought, I just put a timelapse with a Miku song and ppl easily come in!

In comparison, posting anything else on my twitter is a lot harder tho
If any of you guys have twt can you answer this? After getting into kpop recently, partially bc of a fanartist who was also an army, I wonder if the pipeline's applicable to other things.

I left a response. Another scattered thought is that vocaloid 100% got me interested in j-rock, j-pop and similar genres, but still I wouldn't consider myself a member of the "fandom" for those genres. I'm a really massive internet nerd and a vocaloid nerd, and I do enjoy things like sci-fi anime, rhythm games, etc but I can't say vocaloid was responsible for that for me. I think it's gonna be different for everyone and probably depend on what parts of the internet they use/how they interact with the internet as well.

I'd say foreign music in general, but that's far too generalised to be a traditional "fandom".
I like Mitchie M's new song solely on the fact it's rockabilly. When I first listened, it reminded me of this song.
I'm going out of town for New Year's, so I'm updating my road trip playlist. Over 13 hours long but I feel like I'm lacking some vocal synth songs

Does anyone have any recs that I can find on Spotify?

I don't use Spotify but I do know that Solaria is on there and so are official IA songs such as Conqueror and Higher.

I found this playlist that I like a lot. It has a bunch of hits from the past fifteen years.

With the reception of Solaria and Asterian this year, it's always mindblowing to me that it's all happening this year. I'm really excited to see what else Eclipsed Sounds has for us in the future
I'm trying to play more of Project Sekai, and I kept thinking whether the world lore could apply to other vocaloids

Looking at the stickers now, I am tempted to make ones of different engloids, maybe Sonika would suit that style a lot
Saw the demo for Asterian and I'm really impressed with how he sounds! I looked up the vp, Eric Hollaway, and his singing voice is just as stunning (and versatile omg). How did I not know about this man before....
I used to boast how I can draw on my phone, but now it's not so much a flex anymore. With my latest drawing it was so time consuming... I guess it's partly bc now I keep an eye on the smallest details than before
