I can't remember what the pop-up options for the trial are anymore (I have had the full version for quite a long time), but you definitely have to put in your email address during the prompt in order to use the trial. Can you show a screenshot of what it's saying?

Hang on, lemme redownload it. The thing is, I was never prompted to enter anything; there was nothing during the download, and the trial won't let me do anything other than exit out of the error message, at which point the whole program crashes.
