Have I missed a new round of drama within the Western fandom? :?

A lot of people in the fandom are fed up with some, especially in the lqbt and sjw communities using Miku as a meme/weapon to censor creators they don't like and as a face for their agendas. It blew up after J.K. Rowling said something and people started spamming "Miku made Harry Potter" and other stuff against Rowling using Miku as their "spokesperson". I try not to follow drama too much, but seems now the western community is starting to be more critical towards how some people use Miku in problematic ways and how it affects Miku's image and also the creative people in the community who might get caught in drama unvoluntarily.
