I've looked into soap making myself, but I currently live with my eight-year-old sister and three nosy cats, so I don't have anywhere safe to store lye. (I don't even have a room, so storing it there is out of the question.) So for the time being, I get all of my shampoo from Chagrin Valley and my soap from the local health store.
