I worship at the alter of hemp seed oil, so this isn't going into the Sin Bin unless it's just God-awful. But so far so good: it feels and applies just like regular hemp seed oil, and it doesn't smell as bad.

I... can't promise the Sin Bin won't return within the next few months, though. Old habits die hard.

You mentioned you struggle with acne, right? It's possible you're using too many products targeted at fixing it and your skin is parched as a result. When your skin starts peeling, that's usually a sign that it's dehydrated rather than simply dry. In that case, I'd recommend using an ultra-hydrating moisturizer and a non-comedogenic facial oil on top of it.

Anything from CeraVe, Tula, Neutrogena's Hydro Boost line (and literally nothing else from Neutrogena for the love of God stay away from the Pink Grapefruit line), First Aid Beauty, and Dermalogica is wonderful for parched skin. But in general, anything that promises a shit-ton of hydration is best. The only brands I advise staying away from are Clean and Clear, St. Ives, and Neutrogena (sans the Hyrdo Boost line, which is strangely great), as well as products with mineral oil; other than that, just about anything goes, from drugstore to high-end! If you wanna take another precautionary step you can try staying away from anything with fragrance or essential oils, but if you haven't had issues with those in the past you should be fine.

I'd also recommend hemp seed oil as your facial oil, because it's great for acne. (You can use straight hemp oil, but it needs to be refrigerated after opening as it spoils quickly otherwise.) Try to only use active acne-fighting ingredients every other day (though spot treatments can be used daily).
