So there's no way Al was a V2. My theory is that he's actually a V4 who traveled back in time to bless us with promises for the future of vocalsynths. Which is to say, he's really, really good. He's quite easy to work with, with minimal quirks (his vowels have a hard time connecting, and he doesn't always respond well to Velocity, but with enough note manipulation, those are easy to work around). He's got lots of power from his exceptional low range to his surprisingly solid upper range. And! PowerFX is perfectly willing to give you an import code, so you don't have to flounder in V2 just to use him!

While I'm at it, I'll also recommend Ann, because she's a VERY solid bank as well, but I haven't worked with her enough yet to give you a rundown on her strengths and weaknesses. Still, you can't go wrong with either of them.

Yohioloid is close to him but his English is less clear but I definitely prefer his tone better

Seconded that Ann and Al are actually incredible voicebanks. I think Ann has more quirks than Al does, but all in all they're very workaround-able (esp if you use them in V4, but that's just imo). The only weird thing about a lot of V2 banks is that sometimes the default [t s] is kinda choppy but if you change it to [th s] then it's smooth. I think Al and Prima are the worst offenders of this, and I don't think Ann, Tonio, or Sonika are as bad on that?? If memory serves--
