I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's been peeved by That Mod™ over the years. She seems incredibly hyper-critical of everything too, such as if you dare call a LQ vocaloid like Len "the best" (i mean, she wrote a whole 5 paragraphs about it), she'll explain why he isn't because he's a character voice, isn't realistic, and has technical problems or whatever - when i'm pretty sure these people are early fans/casuals who just enjoy the characters and music with zero regard for technical issues. She makes a point, but it's literally so unnecessary to me.

Ms. Angel Emfrkmvcfdfbl just leave people be, please. :ring_ani_lili:

i mean... if i was barraged daily by hundreds of people commenting stupid questions like "is Hatsune Miku an anime??" i'd probably come to the same conclusion. and a lot of people think of vocaloid as a "robot anime" thing, so the people who get really into it despite that are into the "robot anime"ness more than all the technical stuff. not trying to be rude but its just a regular opinion to have of the fandom, unfortunately. personally i havent met someone who likes Vocaloid that isn't also an anime or tech nerd in some way.

@andantina the thing is, is that such a bad thing? I thought Miku was from a manga and Vocaloid was a band made up of real people voicing anime characters, and if someone met my questions with a response that made me feel stupid for so much as thinking that, I'd have been humiliated. And is it so bad for people to be into Vocaloid for the characters and the voices more than for the technical aspect? I've been a Vocaloid fan for over a decade, and I just got into the technical side two years ago. It's not for everyone, and it's okay to just like it on the surface level. To suggest that anyone who doesn't use or like Vocaloid the "correct" way is nothing more than a weeaboo is, if I may be honest, disgusting.

On top of that, she's a mod for what is perhaps the largest Vocaloid hub on the internet, and Vocaloid is so complex and intensely confusing if you have little knowledge of it. If she can't handle repetitive questions from misinformed or underinformed fans just wanting to know more, then maybe she shouldn't be a mod, or she should mod some place smaller.

(On top of that, this was her response to people expressing sadness over Piko being discontinued and pulled from the market, not just a general comment. People are allowed to be sad over a product they love being gone without being mocked.)

God I was reading the Piko article this morning....who even let her be a mod??

Just let people like the Vocaloids they like. And if you don't want to keep answering these questions, let somebody else answer them. Honestly, somebody with a V2 Engloid bias shouldn't be arguing about Japanese loids

Also, I just remembered how people called her the "Vocaloid Karen" a while ago and PFFFT

Permission to call her that from now on?

She has a point but she could be at least, polite about it
