yeah, someone sent them some emails asking about it and what not, yamaha responded that vocaloid isnt dead and they still have interest in making voicebanks, but they revealed how much it costs to make a voicebank and its....a lot. they also said they only give the licenses to companies, which makes sense after some...fanmade vocaloid disasters in the past, but honestly maybe theyre missing out on a market of super rich enthusiasts with a lot of disposable income that want to make their own vocaloids...(i mean, probably not, but if i was super mega rich id be out here making some real whacky voicebanks with all my spare cash)
